About the Site

Everything you could ever want to know.

Deathleigh is a resource site for visitors as well as a personal site and small blog. It was bought with a .info extension on 16th September 2011 from NameCheap and opened on 18th October 2011.
Currently, it is hosted on a paid plan provided by AwardSpace and is only available in English (but beware of any French or other languages that may be lurking around). It's coded in Internet Explorer 8 but is also tested with Google Chrome, along with the help of the nifty Browsershots.

Pre-Deathleigh History

The Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous Periods of Deathleigh.

I've been coding/designing websites for about 7 years now (since mid-2004) and I've branched out in tons of directions, but here's the website development pre-history to Deathleigh:

My first encounter with HTML & CSS came, of course, when I wanted to decorate my Neopet's pages on my account lillyemma. On a guild, my friend intoduced my to Freewebs, where I ended up getting my first website, lillyemma, on 24th November 2004. I was so proud of myself for it; you have no idea. I pretty much switched from Neopets to mediocre webdesign in the first few weeks.

Being only 10 years old, I didn't know too much about coding, my site was in site-builder mode (with some added elements) and I used Microsoft Paint for graphics, and I mainly liked to talk about my life and myself. Lillyemma eventually grew to be a pretty hot spot for my offline friends and me when we were finishing up elementary school and entering middle school.

Then, when I got more into coding and the like, I started yet another Freewebs account on 24th May 2006: LillyC. I created multiple websites after that but from October 2006 - January 2010, LillyC (despite its ridiculously stupid name and shitty content) was my home, since I didn't want a person to host me and I wasn't allowed a domain.

Eventually, I made a pretty bold move and bought my first domain, Heartless Adrenaline on 25th December 2009. It opened in January 2010 and my webdesign skills improved majorly with that website. Then I bought two more domains, one of which being Thorne the Banshee, which I purchased on 20th March 2011.

Now, Thorne the Banshee is where Deathleigh comes into the spotlight. TTB.info was supposed to be a personal site for me to keep all my thoughts and memories, since I wanted a personal site to keep all my writings and such, especially since I was too nervous to bring myself into my other websites and I was pretty into philosophy, too. But after I bought the site, my nervousness shrunk along with my interest in philosophy and I liked to bring more visitor content onto the website, as I found out that I really didn't want a website that was all about me. That and I got sick of the name, more because it didn't fit a resource site. So, three months after TTB.info opened, I decided to close it and move onto a new site. So, Deathleigh was born.
